Standing Stone Amongst HP’s 3D Printer Distributors

Standing Stone is one of the 5 companies who will be distributing HP’s latest range of 3D printers.

HP’s 3D printer will be of great use to car manufacturing companies, architects and many more sectors. It will help users create 3D models from computer designs within hours.

The world is going 3D with movies, Television sets and even dedicated 3D channels are on their way how could the printing industry which is an essential part of many sectors be left behind. After several years of research and development HP finally succeeded in creating range of 3D printers. The Designjet 3D printers were co-developed by HP and Stratasys, and form shapes by piling up layers of semi-molten recyclable ABS plastic inside a box that can fit on a desk.

Standing stone feels that there is huge market for 3D printers and it will bring a revolution in the world of designing and engineering. At £16,500 the printer may be costing much but the distribution company feels it will be worth every penny. The company has shown the 3D printers and demonstrated its prints to car companies and their responses have been positive.

Standing Stone is an HP elite partner already and is in distribution of digital copiers, inkjet and laser plotters, scanners and plan copiers across the country. It was chosen as HP’s 3D printer distributor on May1.

The company has already started the distribution process. It feels that the market for 3D printers is huge and could be worth £1m to £2m in the next 12 months. Standing Stone feels having a 3D printer in their product portfolio will add to their cutting edge technology product list.
